Parents Visit to E-Cell

E-Cell. Before the visit of my  parents to this club,I was a bit nervous about how they would react to it. Parents who had always watched us grow from taking tiny steps to cramming a year’s syllabus in one night (even thought they are against it). My parents had come to the college; my new family had taken them to our room, the E-Cell room.

They were enthusiastic to see that the college had given students the room and responsibility to go on with the task given to them. There they had met a few of our second years who had worked hard to get the room and manage the E-Cell: Vinay, Surya and Nikhil, and a group of first years who had explained about the E-Cell. My parents were awestruck to know that this room was not just about Entrepreneurship but also for students to explore their interests and to unlock their potential.

They believe in holistic development of a person and not just studies. My mother, who’s a teacher had started getting ideas about how it would help students and what else could be done. My father had given a few ideas about the room and how we could make it better.

The whole group took in the advise from them. At the end of the day, they were happy that their notorious son was a part of something that could help him learn , explore and understand himself, something I believe every parent would want for their child.
